ABOUT ME
鄧鴻樹，臺灣臺東人，倫敦大學英國文學博士，研究領域為現代英國文學、當代英國文學、文學與科學。
現任臺東大學英美語文學系副教授，講授英國文學、英詩選讀、文學專題、西洋文學欣賞等課程，致力推廣經典文學與當代文學的閱讀教育。
經歷：臺東大學國際事務中心主任、《開卷歐美書房》專欄執筆、教育電台臺東分台英詩與小說節目主講、國科會「西洋經典與現代人生—文學系列」講座。
譯有《黑暗之心》(聯經)、《浮世畫家》(新雨)；著有《船長徹夜未眠：當代歐美文學的閱讀進行式》(立緒)。
Hong-Shu Scott Teng is Associate Professor at the Department of English, National Taitung University, Taiwan.
He received his doctorate from the University of London. His research interests include Joseph Conrad, contemporary English literature, literature and science.
Dr. Teng is the former literary columnist for the Chinatimes Book Review, and has published the first annotated Chinese translation of Heart of Darkness (Taipei: Linking).
He is the author of Captain's Nessun Dorma: The Present Progressive Tense of Reading Contemporary Euro-American Literature [《船長徹夜未眠》](Taipei: New Century).
Dr. Teng worked as the Director of International Affairs at NTTU, (2016-2020). He previously hosted a radio show on English novel and poetry at National Education Radio Taitung Branch. He recently published a new translation of An Artist of the Floating World (Taipei: New Rain).
